| Magickal Correspondences for Healing |
| Colors hold much power in that each color carries its own energy. Another way of putting this is that colors vibrate and hold energy which can be tapped in to. Many people today recognize the use of color for therapeutic purposes. In candle magick, color is used to help focus on the intent and belief in that intent. Below is a list of the colors used foremost in candle magick and their correspondence to the different aspects of healing. White: Adds to spiritual strength (Spiritual Healing. Also good substitute for any color in a "pinch") Use this color to strengthen spiritually when Faith is needed and Trust in Spirit/God/Universe is lacking and needs to be fortified. White also is "universal" in that you can use it when you don't have the appropriate color for a specific need. It works as a substitute, when you have no other choices. Pink: Represents love (Emotional Healing) Use pink in healing friendships, broken hearts and in any situation where showing or feeling love will help to heal on an emotional level. Pink is for emotional healing. Red: Good health, strength and physical vigor. Orange: Strengthens the ability to concentrate, adaptability and stimulation. (Physical/Mental Healing) Use orange for situations involving such ailments that require muscle or other stimulation in order to heal, also mental stimulation for depression. Orange is vibrant and energetic. Yellow: Instills confidence (Emotional/Mental Healing) Use Yellow for low self esteem which sometimes is actually the cause of depression, though not always. Focusing on this color and using its vibrational energies can increase the way you perceive yourself. Light Blue: Understanding, health, tranquility, peace, general happiness, spiritual awareness and patience. (Spiritual, Physical, Emotional) Use Light Blue for physical healing, but this is also great for depression, sadness in general, melancholy moods. Also is wonderful in order to become more spiritually aware which in turn can motivate healing in every area of your life. Dark Blue: Depression, moodiness, changeability, impulsiveness, unfortunate and very subduing. Purple: Strengthens willpower. Brown: Hesitation in all matters, uncertainty and doubt, neutrality, robs energy. Black: Sadness and mourning, evil, loss, discord and confusion. Greenish yellow: Jealousy and anger, sickness, quarrels, discord and cowardice. To give added strength to the vibratory influences of the candles they should first be dressed/annointed to set firmly the desired vibrations you want in your ritual. Charging the candle is needed as well since this is what will put your desire, your intent "into" the candle. While no other tools are needed in order to perform candle magick, it is helpful for all intent to use herbs, incense and sometimes stones and crystals to enhance the power of the spell. Special essential oils are used in charging a candle to carry your will. By incorporating these other energies you are adding to the strength of the spell. Below is a list of candle colors, anointing oils, stones, and herbs used to further charge your candle. The herbs can be ground, mixed and burned as incense using charcoal blocks. Also included is incense correspondence. These combinations are for healing aspects including emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being and can be used in accordance with these varying goals. |
