If it's your first gathering, try to find a camp of folks from the
area in which you normally live. Then you'll make a lot of
friends you can hang out with all year round.
Many of the regional clans have camps.
Or if you have strong religious beliefs and want to camp with
other folks who believe in the same god you do, camp with them.
Finally, if you have children there's always Kid Village and
if you are working thru 12-step issues or are in recovery,
Brew Ha Ha / Serenity Ridge is a substance free zone and they
do regular support meetings.
