Syaoran Li at first seems the rival of Sakura-chan, and it was proven when he tried to take the clow cards from her. But really it seems that he is the lover of our Sakura-chan. ^_^ His name would be pronounced Xiao Lang, because he is from Hong Kong, but since he's in Japan . . . .  Anyways he's from a family of Chinese sorcerors and a distant relative of Clow Reed himself. Xiao Lang means "little wolf".
