The meaning of the word "DOHIYA" is a cherokee word meaning "WALK SOFTLY"

“Dohiya”

Walk softly, now, feet leaf soft on paths
Of higher vibration-dance, always in gathering
Light and sacred love and here-in pure place
With still hands holding-you live, “special friends”
“Travelling companion” joyful in the holy life.

Walk softly, near when still, piercing of
Numb thorn speaks of your absence-
Yet close, caring now you are just a little way
Ahead, still we travel, still I serve you
With love that truly never dies.

Walk softly, far from pain
Into blessing of unending light,
Into higher life, where we link in love,
“Joy shall come in the morning”
Mum, always walk softly and in peace.
