"My name is Roger Smith. I perform a much-needed job in the city of amnesia," Roger is a negotiator for Paradigm City, a city where anything can happen. Forty years ago, everyone in the city lost his or her memories. Obviously, they dont remember how, but little be little, everyone is regaining memories. Memories are Like nightmares, they come without warning, and at anytime (ask Roger).
Now onto Roger himself. He is a billionaire, riding around in a James Bond-like car, living in a huge mansion (complete with butler), and is a slick dresser, wearing everything, and I mean everything, black. He has a lot of nifty gadgets, including a wristwatch communicator that also doubles as a graveling hock, and a giant Megadeus (robot) called Big O.
After handling a kidnapping, the kidnappy, R. Dorothy Waynewright, asks for Rogers protection. Were not exactly sure why (at least Im not), though. The R in Dorothys name Im pretty sure stands for Robot, seeing how she is an android. Timothy Waynewright (Dorothys creator) modeled her after the granddaughter that he lost forty years ago. Though Dorothy may only mimic humans, she does seem to be more human-like than any other android Roger has seen. She now works as a maid for Roger, to repay him for her protection. She also seems to be in love with Roger, though he says that androids cant feel emotions.
As the show continues on, it gets creepier, and more twisted (I might do an episode guide, since there are only 13). The show ends in a cliffhanger, and it doesnt look like there will be any other shows, though its still a possibility. |
