The Art of Wigmaking

After you've chosen your desired hairpiece (and yes we do cater to halflings, we can mix hair types from those listed above), we will first check our stock of available hair to fulfill the order. We then measure your skull for fitting. This is a (usually) painless process. Unless you flail about in the chair, and end up getting choked by the measuring tape. We ask that if you are the skittish type, you take a sedative herb before visiting us.

Taking into account the style you wish (example: Curls demand more hair than straight styles), we will estimate the price of your order, and begin the laborious sewing process. Your orders (if hair is in stock) can be done within hours. If it is a custom order, it could take more time to process.

The hair is sewn seamlessly into a thin skullcap. Our professional wigmakers make it easy for you to pass the hair off as your own. We also include one (1) free Wig Maintenance Appointment with your purchase. Reshaping and recutting is recommended every three months, and if you gain or lose noticeable amounts of weight, a refitting is recommended as well.

The Personal Pride of Wig Ownership

Not only will your wig make your friends green with envy as it enhances your looks, it will give you a self-confidence you might not have known before. To avoid embarrassing encounters, we recommend that if you wish to wear your wig daily (so none pull it off your head. Well, not pull it off your head EASILY...yes some flesh might come with it but it would take one heck of a tug)..that you invest in a pot of Wig Glue (50 gp for 50 applications/wearings). We recommend refraining from swimming or other demanding physical activity when wearing Wigs, as the glue might fail and the wig peel off before the shocked eyes of onlookers.

Now, for an additional price (and we are not liable for adverse reactions) we can sew the wigs directly to the body. This is not a practice for the squeamish, and infections can happen, as this is a mild surgical procedure. Rethreading and retightening the hair to the flesh with needles is needed twice yearly. Most scalps do well with our procedure, but chests are unpredictable. (Chest Wigs not recommended for the ladies, but we do consider special orders, no matter how strange we personally think them to be.)
