The shoppe isn't as seedy as you'd expect, what with people selling their goods for gold.."......USED GOODS?!?"... Bah, stop being such a highbrow, and perhaps you'll find a steal of a deal. Walk right this way.

The Pawn Shoppe of Crystal Shores is owned jointly by some of the Crystal Shores GMs: Exiled, Sinister, and Sweetwench, and how the shoppe works sounds difficult, but it really isn't.

When bringing in an item, do so by appointment. A scroll sent to the above (click the banner atop the page) will be considered your appointment. Describe the item you no longer wish to own, and an approximate gp value of it, when it was new.

One of the GMs will write you back with an estimate of gold that the item can fetch at market, and it's up to you to accept or refuse the estimate. (Note: We hear that Exiled is cheap, tighter than a clam's arse with a gp, so you're likely better off if you get one of the others to look at your scroll. Just don't say you heard that here.)

Once the price is agreed upon (1 letter of haggling is the limit, if you continue to try and haggle after 1 attempt, those letters will be disregarded..so make sure your offers aren't insane), you now have a choice to make: You can be paid 50% in gold, on the spot, for the item, and it's off your hands forever...
OR..
You can wait until the item's sold from the Pawn Shoppe to another person, and get 75% of the final sale. Everyone's a winner, either way. The person who bought a bargain, the seller who's rid of a no-longer wanted item, and the GMs as they count the stack of shiny gold.

We gleefully accept engagement rings from the wronged and/or jilted, as well as weaponry, armor, and other items. Anything you've purchased for yourself (within limitations, see below) or someone's purchased FOR you are possibly pawnable. The limitation: It must be on YOUR sheet, and no one else's. So why not see what type of bankroll you could leave with today?

Items NOT pawnable:

*Soaps, shampoos, oils, and perishable foods. These would likely have been used or spoiled by now.
*Opened vials of potions or powders, both magical and healing.

A surprisingly PAWNABLE item:

*(Note: And this came as a surprise to us.) Yes, you CAN pawn bouquets of flowers, regardless of how long you've had them. Why? Because they haven't died. That's one quirk we noticed since arrriving to this Shore, that the flowers are enchanted in some way as to keep their beauty even after they've been plucked from the ground. So if you wish to sell them, you're able to.
