Prelude Timeslips

This is my only run at the whole Pomona. We were only there for one day, and I didn't feel like going again. End of a good run. Maybe next time. I'm on the right side #419.

When I was at the pits, I wasn't sure whether or not I was even going to get a change to run at all. I finally got a chance to run. I did the burnout and was letting it sit there for a while. A little bit of smoke still came in the car, even with the vents closed.

I was very happy with the run. I dumped the clutch around 5k to 5.5k rpms. That's pretty high considering I'm running the stock clutch. It mangaged to grab and the car felt fast. I made sure not to mis shift which probably cost me a couple tenths, but I wanted the run to count.

Notes - only took the spare tire out because I had no tools to take out the front seat. That right there might be worth a tenth. Should do a little better next time. I'm shooting for 14.5 or so. Hopefully...

This is my latest timeslip collection. I'm number 408 on the right side of every timeslip. My very best run was on the first run with a mad ass burnout at the top of the page. For this Pomona, I took out the spare tire and front seat. That weighs roughly a total of 50 lbs.

Run #1
This happened to be my best run, but I'm not sure why. It's also a result from that mad ass burnout way up top. It's pretty cool. A friend of mine got it on video. I was surprised of the grab I got the first time I used slicks. I never experienced it before, but wow. It just went. I should have gone faster, but couldn't repeat my time. I didn't shift as well as I could have.

Run #2
This run sucked big time. I think it's because i launched at like 4500 and should have gone a little bit higher. It shows from my 60 ft time, but there was sloppy shifting again. I just couldn't get it in gear and that cost me time.

Run #3
This run felt like my best run when I was coming back, but I wasn't sure. I did happen to have the best 60 ft time of the day and the fastest mph, but I think the reason I didn't break into the 14's was because I might have shifted a couple hundred rpm's early. No excuses though. I'm a bad driver, but I'll try to do better in the next Pomona.
