Well this is my rant for the time being. Fucking Christians. Not that I have anything against them as people, it's just people like the weirdos at Jesusfreaks.com. Christ! On that point, that is all Christianity has become; assorted expressions for disbelief and shock ( e.g. Christ and Oh my God). More when I regain feeling in my arm...

Fantastic, now the right has come back to life (how many more puns can I fit into this rant?) the left is numbing. Oh well. Regardless, Here's one of my biggest problems with Christianity - the fact that there is no evidence for this God they believe in. No, actually it's the fact that they do not have to alter their lifestyle at all. Judaism, for example, only allows Kosher meals. Islam involves praying a gazillion times a day. Buddhism involves all manner of crazy shit (no insult meant to anyone). All of these, ignoring the flaws in these religions and the problems certain "fundamentalists" cause, seem truer to me. (Not true, truer.) Christianity has no laws. OK, if you're a Catholic then no birth control, but that's it, as far as I can see... That's one aspect of the rant out of the way.

Another one is why Christians act so "holier than though" against all the other "oppressive" religions. Christianity oppresses women and homosexuals. Think back a few hundred years and you have the Crusades and the anti-Jewish pogroms. More recently the Dutch Reform Church openly advocated Apartheid. Good God, how fucking fascistic can you get. Of course there are "exceptions which prove the rule", such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Desmond Tutu. But they are just that, exceptions. In fact, the Pope has recently been reported as telling Catholics in Africa that using condoms is a sin, and causes AIDS, even though condoms prevent the spread of AIDS, which is one of the largest killers in Africa.

My final complaint is the damned division within Christianity. Protestants, Catholics, Evangelical Christians, Quakers etc. Can't they all just combine through a process of amalgamation and assimilation etc.
