A Better
Understanding In
order to gain a better understanding influences on poetic verse, as
well as poetry's influence on society, an assignment was given in
which we study the life and analyze the works and influences of a
Nobel Prize winning poet. By studying the conditions of society and
the personal life of our given poet, we are able to better
understand the influences of these conditions in the poetry, and how
the poetry, in turn, affects society. Weather written out of protest
of a fascist government or born out of some inspiring desire of the
author, the value and influence of poetry is an undeniable aspect of
world literature, and is a truly inspiring art
form.
