Coon Rapids Results | Varsity Results | Junior Varsity Results | Junior High ResultsThis season the Cardinals started a new tradition by competing at the Lakeville Invitational. While the weather was perfect and the competition very tough, the Cardinals performed well. John Kennedy led the team for the second straight week by going sub-17. He is the first Cardinal to do so in over 6 years. He ran the Lakeville course in 16:51, which, was also enough for him to get an award. For the first time this season the top six Cardinal runners were all under 19 minutes. Another good sign for the team is that 12 runners ran personal bests at the meet.
On Saturday September 25 the Cardinals will compete in the worlds largest High School Cross Country meet. The Princeton Invitational has about 25 teams, mostly from Minnesota, compete. For all the runners who are 10 grade and under they will race at Brooklyn Park on Monday September 20.
