Once again the Apollo Invite in St. Cloud was a very hot and dry race for all who participated. Despite the heat, seven Cardinal runners ran a personal best for a 5k race. The top performance of the day was Troy Dey. He ran the course in 17:42, good enough for 14th place.
The Varsity runners did better than last year, taking 8th overall with 194 pts. Troy Dey and Eric Baumgartner went sub- 19:00. The top 5 runners were all under 20:00. The Junior Varsity did very well finishing 3rd overall. The next race is the conference preview at Anoka High School.
