With titles to defend and a good weather day for running, the Cardinals were pumped for the 2002 Dundee Invitational. The tone was set early in the JV race as the JV Cardinals won the race. Joe Trapp, Isaac Huss, and John Kennedy led the charge, all finishing in the top 10. Joe and Isaac earned Varsity spots for the Section Championships next week. As for the Varsity, the team did not fair as well as the JV squad but they did get 5 P.R.'s. Besides for Troy and Brandon, all the Varsity runners earned P.R.'s. The team in all now has 10 runners with times under 19:00. The breakout races of the day on Varsity were certainly Chris Lafean and Collin Timm. They each moved up two spots on the team and earned a P.R. of over 30 seconds. In total, the Cardinals had 15 P.R.'s out of 31 runners.
