Coon Rapids Results | Team Results | Varsity Results | Junior Varsity ResultsThe challenge was realized even before the gun went off for the 2002 NWSC Championship meet. The competition, as well as the course, was going to make this year's meet the most competitive and most challenging one yet. Numerous spots of mud and uneven ground made for tough footing on the course, and along with the hills, made for generally slower times. However, on this day it wasn't times that mattered but it was the places. Brandon Heebink (10th) and Troy Dey (16th) earned All-Conference honors. This was Heebink's third and Dey's first. In the JV race, Marcus Milless, Dylan Stanton, and Shane Fors led the way all finishing in the top 10. 5 P.R.'s were earned on this day: Elliot "Bubba" Huss (19:16), Marcus Milless (20:17), Dylan Stanton (20:27), Phil Johnson (20:50), and Eric Reski (21:31). The Cardinals have a lot of hope for the years to come; of the top 7 Varsity runners, only one is a senior.
