On a cold, windy day at Majestic Oaks golf course, the Cardinals ended their streak of meets with double-digit P.R.'s. A cool, strong wind and a soft, slow course made it a challenge for Coon Rapids to get any fast times. However, that didn't stop them from competing well. The Varsity team placed 2nd in the White Division to Park Center in a field of 10 teams that included NWSC opponents Andover, Blaine, and Champlin Park. Andover finished in third, just three points behind the Cardinals (92-95). As for top finishers, Brandon Heebink finished in 3rd (17:49), Troy Dey in 14th (18:16), and Drew Ditlefsen in 21st (18:54). From the JV race, John Kennedy (12th-19:52) and Jake Heidkamp (32nd-20:26) earned Varsity spots for the NWSC Championships next week.
