For the first time ever, 3 Cardinal runners continued their individual seasons past the Section and State meets. Grant Ellingson, Drew Ditlefsen, and Brandon Heebink all competed for the right to run in the USATF Region VIII Championships in Lincoln, Nebraska. Grant and Brandon finished 19th and 18th respectively on a very hilly course. The top 25 individuals qualify for the Regional meet.
The winning time in the Young Men's division was 16:20, run by All-State runner Mike VanBeusekom of Irondale.
