Coon Rapids had high hopes for this year's District 11 Meet. Those were put to rest when Anoka emerged victorious by 16 points over the second place Cardinals. In third was Champlin Park, trailing Coon Rapids by 51 points, and in last was Blaine with well over 100.
Once again, Brian Krohmer led the way for the Cardinals with a time of 18:18, finishing in 4th. The second Cardinal in was Brandon Heebink in 7th with a time of 18:53. Grant Ellingson, Matt Holton, and Jake Heidkamp came in 9th, 10th, and 14th respectively with rather good times. The last of the top 7 were Ben Dubay, followed by Drew Reiter. Not far behind Drew Reiter was Freshman Drew Ditlefsen, who finished with a time of 20:31 in his first race of 2000.
