At the 2007 Apollo Invitational, the Coon Rapids boys team placed 5th out of 11 teams. Senior captain Shamus O'Grady had the best individual race with a time of 17:03 and receiving a 3rd place medal. The first place team in the varsity race was Wayzata, whose top finisher was Jeremy Drenckhahn with a time of 17:04.
Also receiving awards were Senior Jordan Fladland, who finished 9th in the Varsity race, Junior Ryan Eason, who was 9th to help CR to a 5th place finish in the JV race, and 8th grader Calvin Mehrhof was 14th in the junior high race. Coon Rapids finished 3rd in that race.
