The 1999 Blaine Invitational was a great race for both the boys and girls' Coon Rapids teams. The girls team won the white division of the meet and the boys placed 6th to set themselves up nicely for the upcoming TCS West Conference Championships. Junior captain Brian Krohmer and Senior captain Matt Tucker took home 12th and 15th place medals respectively in the varsity race. 8th grader Drew Ditlefsen had a 15th place in the junior high race and received a ribbon for it.
Ryan Ahles had his best race of the season by being the top finisher for Coon Rapids in the junior varsity race with a time of 21:40. They placed 14th out of 16 teams in the junior varsity race.
