DGJ's nickname is "Calf." He got the nickname because he has a pair of big and may i add beautiful eyes.
- It's rumoured that DGJ's father is the owner of the big corporation, Samsung (Triple Stars), but it's simply not true (hence it's a rumour:). Jang's father owns a construction company but not Samsung!
- DGJ's famous for his "western/caucasian" look but he's a pure Korean. Both of his parents are Korean and according to DGJ, he inherited his eyes and lips from his beautiful mother and his physique from his father.
- In July, 2000, a MBC TV program conducted a survey and interviewed 100 celebs asking them whom they think is the best looking guy in the showbiz, and DGJ came in first with 32 votes, followed by some actor i don't know with 23 votes.
- As popular as DGJ is in Korea, he draws even more of a fan following in Vietnam, where his TV dramas have made him a superstar. After one concert he gave in Vietnam he was reportedly pursued by hundreds of adoring fans on motorcyles shouting his name. His dramas are also been shown in China, HK, Taiwan and other countries.
- It's said that All About Eve would probable be DGJ's last tv series *GASP* He has expressed his wish to focus on his film career and will be doing a lot films instead of tv.
- In real life, JDG's somewhat shy and doesn't talk much, but he lightens up whenever he's with his buddies, including Han Jae Suk, his co-star in AAE & Model. Another of JDG's closest friend in showbiz is Cha In Pyo, the actor who appears in Sky's Enternity video with JDG and plays his FBI brother.
- JDG launched his official fanclub on Sep. 3rd, 2000. The club is named Adonis, after the etremely handsome young man from Greek Myth whom Aphrodite falls in love with. One of his best friends Han Jae Suk is among the stars that attended the launching ceremony.
- The Korean song, I'll Give You All, was first done by singer, Jo Kyu Man, but made popular by JDG after he sings it in one episode of highly-rated drama, All About Eve.
