Crushed Tomatoes
existed between 1992-95, playing cover tunes from such artists as'
Alice in Chains, STP, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Joe Satriani and many more.
Fronted by Mark Mastroianni (vocals), Chris Mancuso (bass),
John Smithurst (drums) and
Tony Rombola (guitars), they played around the greater southern
New Hampshire area.
The self proclaimed 'most original cover band' had a following that included many musicians, who would accompany the band on stage
to sing or play a tune.
The band dissolved in 1995, but not before Sully Erna discovered Tony's tremendous talent and invited him to audition for his new band GODSMACK, who's ranks included another area musician Robbie Merrill.
Since then they've gone on to multi-platinum success and the rest they say, is history...... |
