~*My Mommy*~
My Mother did not have an education
that was taught in the public schools,
But through life's heartaches and pain
you were taught by error and trials.
Left alone, without a mother
and three younger siblings to rear,
You learned your life's lessons
helping those that were so dear.
Mother, you always wanted to help
everyone that crossed your path,
Although you hid many a tear
you managed to make us laugh.
Mother, as you passed thru this life
you made a lot of friends,
Everyone knew that you cared
and on you they could depend.
Mother, after you and daddy married
and you had four children of your own,
You watched over us with tender care
until we grew up and left home.
Mother, you went thru the heartache
of losing your first born son,
Then losing daddy and three grandchildren
it took a lot of strength to go on.
Now mother, that you are gone
life here, just isn't the same,
But our loss down here in this life
was for you, heaven's gain.
