Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seedeth findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask? A Promise from God If we know or believe that the word of God is true... we need to start standing upon the word. For it is the Word that brings us life, it is what feeds us, it sustains us. Jesus said that when we ask in faith believing and doubt not, that whatever we ask, we will receive! God is always faithful to His promises.... for God cannot lie. He just wants us to believe and trust Him for all things, small or great. Let's fill our hearts with the word and not doubt, then we will see miracles in our every day life. St. Matthew 7:7-11 What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear; What a privilege to carry, every thing to God in prayer. Oh what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer. |
