Chapter Thirteen

Amanda's Point of View

I raced down the hall, Precious at my heels. I was steaming with rage. My hands were trembling, and I had the urge to go find Josh and strangle the bastard.

Without saying a word, I opened the door to my room, stepping aside to let Precious enter. Then I pulled the door shut and plopped down on the bed. We sat there for a moment, not knowing what to say.

"Amanda, um, you had already left the room so I don't think you noticed this... but Josh proposed to me also. With the same exact style of ring."

I stared at her, a lone tear rolling slowly down my cheek. Then we heard a knock at the door.

Precious walked over and pulled it open, then slammed it shut. "It's him." She spat.

The nerve of that guy! He just didn't know when to stop, did he? I walked over to the door and yanked it open.

"What do you want, Josh!?"

"I-I left something in this room." He replied.

"Take it and get out."

"Can you, um, give me some time alone with Precious?"

I glared at both of them and then stalked out, banging the door shut behind me. I crossed my arms and stood there, rolling my eyes. Precious wouldn't listen to him... would she?

I decided to go get something to drink, and entered the nearby elevator.

~Meanwhile, in the room...~

"Josh, what are you doing... Get off of me!"

"You know you like it." He replied, trying to pry the towel off of her body.

"Stop it! JOSH!!!"

He grabbed her and began to shake her roughly. Precious began to cry. Josh was acting like he had been acting that night... the night that she had told him about her pregnancy.
"You're coming with me." Josh ordered.

Covering her mouth with his hand, he picked her up, opened the door, and went down the stairs. Then the two reached a side door, where a car was parked.

Josh dragged Precious over to it and pushed her into the trunk, glancing around the deserted side parking lot to make sure no one was witnessing the crime. Then he climbed into the driver's seat and began to drive.

Much to his dismay, he began to doubt that this was the right thing to do. But he drove on, listening to the sound of faint pounding and screaming coming from the locked trunk.

Precious lay in the tight space. Her face was wet with tears, and she hugged her small towel to her otherwise naked body. I might never get out, she told herself. I don't know where Josh is taking me, or if I'll ever get out of this trunk again. And then the horrible realization hit her.

I might die in here.

Sara's Point of View

Lance came back to me with a worried look on his beautiful face. "Josh wouldn't say a word." He informed me. I have no idea what this is all about. And I just went upstairs to Amanda's hotel room, but no one was there."

"That's strange." I answered.

"Baby, do you wanna go somewhere else? Like out to eat or something? I'm kinda hungry."

"Me too, let's go!"

Vanessa's Point of View

Oh my God. Justin had just told me that he loved me.

I thought back to all the things we had done in the few days we had spent together. The places we had gone to, the laughs we had together, the conversations we shared. And then it dawned on me.

"Justin, I love you too."
