Enjoy!) *Life's Beauty* Have you ever felt the cool drops of rain on your face, and smiled as they washed away all the wrong? Have you ever stood and let the warmth of the sun caress your skin warming you not just on the outside, but filling your soul? Can you feel the beauty of a sunset fading for a few moments on the horizon? Can you look upon the vast heavens and take in the thousands of stars, numbering your every dream? Do you feel what I don't say, the feeling emanating from inside me? Do you hear my heart speaking to you? Who I was My childhood haunts me, as if it is long gone Wisps of it hang on melodies, images, dreams Innocence was my cloak Magic, my realm Dreams to escape from my torn reality Gentle, warm, safe, wonderful Companions from fairy tales Wash away harsh truth Unicorns of old, mermaids of deep Wishes on stars, and happy endings Hovering within my half-forgotten past Waiting for the belief of a free spirit to return <Cut me Down> My insides crumble Trying to stand tall Drawing myself up with nothing to hold me Up against my own blood The ones who brought me life Tear it down As others see me Happy, confident, in charge When it is just a shell With nothing on the inside Trying to put myself back together When everything I have to work with is broken ~*Rut of Life*~ A broken record On repeat Routine voices, work, paths Could walk each day with my eyes closed I need the spice Something new, daring, exciting Anything, just a spark Don't want to look back Wondering where my life has gone Why I never took the chance, Or made something out of nothing I want to live And not just pass the time I want to fly An Angel Is An angel is the trusting eyes of a child It is the bird that sings you out of sleep in the morn' The feeling of serenity as a breeze passes through in the wilderness An angel is the keeper of my heart |
