Finally, the truth is out. Britney Spears announced her realtionship with Justin Timberlake to the public!! It was announced in Elle magazine. I'm so happy that the truth is out. Now this isn't really long because I don't have much time to write it but I'll type up what she said and such. While the two may be dating they are *not* engaged. Also in the Article Britney admits to wanting to wear a ring to keep people talking (that is plain WRONG) but whatever so they aren't engaged but they are dating. Good luck to the both of them and I hope they remain happy. Congrats and I couldn't be happier to know the truth!
Here's a bit more updates on it: Justin admitted the relationship on The Rosie O'Donnell show, I think that was the first time *he* announced it to the public. But I support him fully and as long as he's happy I'm not gonna complain *but* I have a couple issues with Britney...here it goes...and if you are a Brit fan, Turn back NOW.
Jessica Simpson is someone who had moral values despite her career, she is someone who I can look up to and think "d***, you totally respect yourself and you stick to what you believe in. You kick @$$!". Britney on the other hand, is either lying to the public or a big tease. She has turned into a corpurate stunt. In the Elle article she frequently curses and isn't at all like the innocent little girl we saw in "Hit Me Baby One More Time". She also admitted to wanting to wear a ring like an engagment ring to keep everyone talking. That is WRONG! She was 'leading on' her fans. I'm not sure what Justin's reaction was because it was not printed. I have had many experiences with people 'leading on' me or others and everytime the results have ended in a fight and an end of friendship.
The MTV VMA's where Britney stripped and revealed a nude colored bodysuit w/dimonds on parts of it was, well, slutty. Little kids look up to her and to see her strutting around like that was degrading. Then her new video, I've only seen it once, but I do think it was a little on the skimpy side?? Let's walk around in some black dress that looks like I got in a cat fight in while it's raining! Um, no! She's trying to break the image she came out with and in the process is loosing a lot of the parents who buy the cd's for their 8 y/o's. My own mother can't stand her.
Back to the whole sex before marriage thing. Maybe she does keep that value important but considering the recent change and desire to become a "bad girl" I doubt she has stayed 'true to herself'. I think her ego is too big but that she doesn't respect herself. To flaunt her body around like she does is, to me, a sign of lack of respect and confidence. She needs to push the limits to get attention and try and keep her fans. Someone who truely respects themself and has self confidence will be able to dress with leaving some room for the imagination and won't use there looks/body as a way to sell albumns. Besides, having respect and self confidence is way more sexy than flaunting all you got.
Long and short, If you are still reading this and you want someone to look up to who has morals and does *not* pull stunts with her fans, look to Jessica Simpson. She is truely a great role model for any pre-adolescent-teen girl. She has a great career, the guy of her dreams and she's remained true to herself and her values.

Maybe it wasn't clear in that but I *do* support Justin in dating Britney, notice none of my comments had anything to do with the fact she was dating Justin. I just feel that she has a very split personality, you can read an article about her in Teen People and she seems very polite, sweet and very G rated. Yet when I read the article in Elle magazine it was slandered with curse words and she discussed things that she would never say to a Teen magazine. So which is the real Britney? I'm not sure but i think it's the side she showed in Elle magazine...Maybe I'm wrong but maybe I'm not...but I do hope that Justin is happy and as long as he is I give him my full support and best wishes.
Oh, another rumor flying around--Brit and Justin living together. I've heard different stories (from people with direct connections) so I'm not sure. Brit is denying it so I'm gonna just believe her, if they have decided to move in, great. I'm happy for them either way. They have a good relationship, and some of the things Justin has said are sooo poetic and sweet. I'm *totally* for this relationship if it makes him this happy!
