Change of Heart

"Chris!  Hurry up!"  Justin yelled.  "I'm sorry he's taking so long Karly."
"It's ok, I'm used to waiting."
"Yeah I guess JC got you used to that one," he joked.
"Of course," she replied.
"Sorry Karly, Danielle called right before you came over.  You ready?"
"But of course."
"Then let's get outta here, bye Jus!"  Chris said and walked towards the front door.
"Bye,"  Karly said to Justin and followed Chris out.

Karly had met the five when they were still with manager Lou Pearlman.  She had known Joey from his 1st grade class, they went to the same Catholic school and she really hit it off with all 5.  Karly was now involved with JC but was best friends with Chris.  Chris had a longtime relationship with a girl named Danielle.  Danielle was an incredible woman, Karly looked up to her.  For the time being Karly was a full time roadie and honary member of *NSync.

"This movie better be good!" Chris complained.
"Hey, I didn't know it was gonna be a chick flick!" Karly protested.  Recently the two had seen the movie "Boys and Girls" thinking it would be somewhat similar to "American Pie"...boy were they wrong!  The movie was a complete chick flick.
"I don't think they can turn a war movie into a chick flick," Chris stated.
"Probably not, your lucky Heath Ledger is in this movie or you'd be goin' w/Justin in the Benz," She mocked Justin's obsession with his Mercedes M Class.
"That would be intresting..." Chris trailed off.

The two were on their way to see "The Patriot".  Chris waited in the car while Karly bought the tickets and snacks.  She walked up to the door and signaled for Chris to come in.  He put on sunglasses and a hat and walked in.  Luckily he had cut off his trademark dreds which made it easier to disguise himself.  The two slipped into the back of the theater and enjoyed the movie.

"What a cry baby!"  Chris mocked.
"Oh, shut up! It was sad!" Karly protested.
"It's just cause he was 'hot'."
"No! It was very traumatic, the camera angle and NO MUSIC made it very dramatic!"
"Whatever little girl, let's go home.  Big Daddy's prob waitin up for ya."
"Speaking of little girls...don't act all macho, I saw a tear when the little girl didn't want him to leave!"
"You did NOT!" Chris stopped in his tracks and turned a shade of red.
"HA! You so did! I got you!"  Karly laughed loudly and punched her friend's arm.
"Aight, that's it.  You asked for it," he replied and started to chase her.  The two ran to the car laughing the whole way.  When they reached the car they stood to catch their breath.
"Well Mr. Track star your certainly out of shape," Karly joked.
"That was in highschool and I already told u I wasn't very good, I was too short!"  Karly noticed a group of girls heading their way.
"Chris, slowly get in the car.  Fans at 3 o'clock."
"Cool!"  He turned and waved to them.  Karly sighed and unlocked the car.  Chris signed some autographs and chatted for a second before getting into Karly's car.
"Sorry, I like the fans."
"It's ok, I just wasn't sure if you wanted them to see you with those tear stained cheeks," she joked.
"Are you serious?!" Chris quickly looked in the mirror.
"HA! You cried!! I got you! Works every time!
"I did not, just drive fool."  Karly laughed the whole way to the nsync house.  When they walked in the door Karly decided to change her normal 'I'm here' message.
"CHRIS CRIED!!" She yelled as loud as she could.  Justin was the first to enter, laughing so hard he could barely walk.  JC mocked Chris and gave his girlfriend a hug.
"Em?  What are you doing here?" She asked as she saw her 'friend' enter the room.
"I was just uh, hanging out cause Maureen and Natasha went out with Joey and Lance."
"Oh, cool," She looked over at Justin who refused to make eye contact with anyone in the room.  She made a mental note of Justin's actions and was determined to find out what was going on.
"Have a good nap Big Daddy?" Karly asked her boyfriend.
"Oh, it could have been better," he replied and looked over at Justin who quickly resumed looking at the carpet.
"Nice seeing you Emily, I should go though.  Bye all!  Bye cry baby!" she said to Chris giving him a kiss on the cheek as he walked her to the door.
"What's goin on with Curly and Em?" She asked.
"No clue, sorry babe."
"Ok, thanks anyway.  Bye Chris."  She gave JC a look and he came over to her.  He took her hand and walked out the door with her.
"What happened tonight?"
"Jus and Em got into a fight."
"Gee what else is new?"
"Well this time they are breaking up..."
