Internet Use Survey

1. How often and in what ways do you use the Internet in your other classes? i search for materials when needed for some of my reports.
I almost always use google.com to search for sites that is related to my projects and other homeworks.

2. Do you find articles, access databases, download graphics and multimedia files, or surf pages related to your topic of research?
i usually copy specific survey charts and read posted researches or reports on the Internet. I very seldom download graphics.

3. Do you use the Net for other classes? If so, which are they? Describe the course and how you used the Net for whatever assignment or project. Be specific.
I remember searching the Internet about abortion for a presentation in my ۹ class. I found the growth rate (chart) of abortion in the States and in Korea. I also read about the main reasons why people get abortion and so on. I also once used the Internet to find information about the effects of child abuse, to write a reseach paper for ۹ and Film in English. At the present moment, i'm searching the Net to find some writings about the background of Buddhism for ΰ ȭ.

4. How helpful was the Net? Was it more useful than if you had used conventional means, e.g., finding books and periodicals in the library?
I like using the Net more than searching through the library for articles. Because, i'm a slow reader, and it usually takes me a long time to read and find just the right information for my homework. Whereas the Net allows me to type in keywords to find just the right article.

5. Would it help if core classes in your major, or general education classes at Ewha were online?
I personally do not like it when professors put up all their directions and information about the class online. Because computers sometimes fail to download these files.

6. Would you like to see other English or other language courses online? If so, what would they be?
I don't really find it necessary for courses to be online, unless these courses require notes from the professors.
