Assignment 5 Part 2
Summary of my Discussion with Gia Kim and Hyewon
Bad Sites
1. www.daum.net
- The web design hasn't been changed for years.
- The fonts for the ads and news are very simiar to each other.
- Too many information on the main page
2. www.sisley-cosmetics.com
- The main page is on the corner of the browser
- There's no prices for the products.
- It takes a while to open a linked page.
- The web design over all isn't very attractive, especially the background color.
3. http://www.nature.com/nsu/
- The main page is too long vertically.
- It's also cornered to the left.
- The links on the left side (about jobs) distract the main purpose of the website
- The font is too small and unappealing.
Good Sites
1. www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com
- The products have prices.
- Every page has links to the main lists of products (accessories, blushes, colors, and so on). The list for specific items are organized on the opposite corner.
- I like the font (long and narrow). It makes the site look professional.
- The pictures of the products are big enough.
2.www.halfclub.com
- They have specific sizes for all their products such as the width and length of the jeans. They even have the hip size, tigh size, and so on. They also have sizes for accessories such as earrings.
- The pictures of the products can be maximized for closer looks.
- The items are well organized (Categorized according to ages, products, and even in brands!)
- The site used english words for the important details about the products.
3.http://eshop.msn.com
- The font isn't hard to read.
- Products are all categorized.
- The color of the background is not too distracting (white and blue)
- Items have information and prizes.
- Easy to surf
