My Keypal
Assignment: Explore the following sites or search for others in order to find a keypal, and to establish an on-going correspondence with someone who shares your interests, especially those that relate to the theme of your web site. Exchange ideas for the next few weeks and write a brief summary about your correspondence with your keypal. Put it on a page called keypal.htm, upload it to your web site, and link it to your Assignments page.
Tell who your keypal is how you found your new friend. Say what site you used and describe the site. Was it user-friendly? What features did you like about it?
Describe your correspondence. You can post some of the actual emails if you want to as examples that describe your correspondence, but you must summarize as well.
Even if you already have a friend with whom you are corresponding, tell about your recent exchanges. Ask your friend or friends for feedback concerning your web site or web site theme. You will also need to explore the sites below even if you do not use them to obtain a keypal. Describe at least one.

I didn't find my keypal on one of those site because I already have a lot of keypals. The one that I shared about my site is Mario. Mario is from Puerto Rico, who actually found my profile in yahoo and started writing me emails. He is currently in Korea for a while, teaching English to Korean students. He was looking through people's profiles in yahoo to make Korean friends while he's here. Since I haven't download yahoo messenger in this computer, we sometimes chat on msn and write emails. I, once made one of my ewha friends chat with him to see if they are each other's type (^^;). Anyway, so I asked him to take a look at my site and give some feedbacks. He said he found it quite interesting although I don't really know if he's telling the truth, since he doesn't really have religion. He told me that it would be a good idea to put up more information on how MKs are different from kids who grew up in their own country.
As I have mentioned, Mario found my profile by searching through yahoo. Although I have stopped looking for keypals on the internet, I find yahoo quite convinient in finding keypals. The yahoo messenger automatically searching for your chatmate online according to the interests you have typed in. You can also find people through the Yahoo! Member Directory where you can choose the gender, age, country, with or w/o picture, and of course the interest of your keypal. I like this site because it also tells you whether the people are online (yahoo messenger). You can choose on of the names and read through their profile as well.
Keypal Club
I looked through the Keypal Club Site and found no match for my interest (Missionary Kids). I found it less convinient than Yahoo search because of the fact that I had to make an account before I can make a search. It seems like this site was originally made for students and teachers to get the chance of making a keypal expecially when it is asked as a homework in class. It connects people that shares the same interest. You can send and read emails from your keypal in this site. You can also share your thoughts on a given topic in the site and also get the chance to read other people's ideas. This site seems to be useful for internet beginners.
