music drifted errily down the bulavard, past the long-dead store fronts
that were illuminated faintly by the dimming lamp light. Rectangle shardes
of light fell, diffused and slanted on the sidewalk. Beating back the neon
darkness of the suburbs.
And the music played. drowning out the deafening silence of the city as it leered out at us through the artificial dawn. It resounded on the empty store fronts. Alighting on them breifly before falling to ruin. Dying within youthful ears.
