Rants
All right, this page will contain my opinions, comments, suggestions, complaints, and babblings. Note that they are MY opinions, so please don't flame me, or send me hate-mail because of them. If you don't want to read them, then DON'T! Also, I will rant about shows, but I will not be insulting yaoi/yuri fans here. Okay? So anyway, on with the rants! Hopefully this section will be updated everytime I update the site.
4/14/01-- HULLO! I finally updated, and hopefully updates will be more often now that I have my password again. Today I am gong to rant about...dun dun DUN! That NEW show on Toonami which they replaced Outlaw Star with. *grimaces* I HATE IT! It does not deserve to be among the other shows...let alone REPLACE Outlaw Star. -_-; I mean, it is Batman type animation...and yet it is Japanese animation. Not only this, but the thing has giant robots, and like no plot. Oh well...I guess since I don't own Toonami (ooooO that would be nice) that it will continue. Bye for now peeps!
4/2/01-- YO! Okay, so I know it has been a long time since I updated...but there have been some *problems* with the whole password thingy for Geocities. Anyways...I have been keeping up with the OLS fics on Fanfiction.net (a BIG fanfic site) and...well....EW! Sorry, but yaoi fans? How can you pair Jim and Gene? I mean, I am not insulting you guys/girls, but the two have such an age difference that it is sort of weird. I am non-yaoi, as I stated before, but at least the Gundam pilots were like...the same age! Jim is eleven, Gene is twenty. AGE DIFFERENCE! Jim is old enough to be a fifth grader! And to have him in these graphic fics with Gene...that is just a little too weird for me. MAybe you should think these things over before you write them. Of course, being an artist, I understand the whole *poetic license* thing. But still....ew.
3/7/01 --- Heh, guess what class I am taking now? *waits* It's....it's...COMPUTERS! *bursts out laughing* Oh wait, you don't know the teacher, do you? Well let me tell you a little about this class. In it, I am going to be learnng about how to make a website. Well, since I already have a website, this class is guaranteed to be VERY boring. Now one might think that I could learn something new and amazing about computers/html in this class but....well, you see, MY site is a LOT better than the teacher's sites that she has made. Layout, pics, design, links....everything on her sites are very 'beginners' quality, which means that I am going to be learning from someone who makes worse pages than I do. *sigh* Booooooring. Well, I guess the upside is that if I do all the projects it should be an easy A!
3/3/01 --- Sorry, I have nothing to rant about his time!
2/24/01 --- Okay, I figured that I have been ranting about Cartoon Network a lot, so here is a change of pace for those of you who actually read these. Instead of ranting about censorship, I will be ranting about NON CENSORSHIP. (heh heh...change of pace, see?). Well, yesterday, a very good friend of mine got on the internet to look for chibis... as in innocent adorable looking chibis. You know, big eyes, unusually sized heads... But did she get chibis? No. Did she get chibi sites? Actually, she did. But the site she just happened to click into, wasn't a chibi site at all. No...it was a hentai site. Now would someone PLEASE tell me, what do chibis and hentai have in common? NOTHING! And why would someone list their hentai site under the name chibi? BECAUSE THERE ARE SOME REALLY SICK PEOPLE OUT THERE! I mean, COME ON hentai lovers! Get A CLUE. If you want hentai lovers to go to your sites, at least post it under HENTAI and not something that non-hentai people would accidentally click into. What if some innocent little kid sees all that stuff?! If you don't want people to try and ban that material from the internet, THEN DON'T STUFF IT IN THEIR FACES!
2/20/01 --- AHHHH! I just saw the Endless Waltz DVD (uncut of course) and now I am on a ranting rampage. Has anyone seen it? Have you seen how MUCH IMPORTANT COOL STUFF Toonami cuts out? I mean...they cut out like half of the movie! *glares at screen* Hello Toonami?! The scenes that they cut out were perfectly good, decent, scenes. There wasn't even any swearing in them! I mean, the end pics were really hillarious in the uncut movie version, but on Toonami they just did away with the whole thing. This really ticks me off. They not only cut out scenes, but jumbled them up also. Ya know the scene where Duo is remembering how he got the D-Scythe? Well that was supposed to happen when he and Heero were in the shuttle. Cartoon Network, the over efficient channel that it is *sarcastic* moved the scene to when Duo was about to get blown apart. Could someone please tell me why they needed to do this? Maybe I am missing something, but it seems like Toonami is overdoing it just a bit. At the least the basic story line was still there. Heh...I wouldn't be surprised if they one day just made there own anime shows *shudders* THAT would be something I would skip.
2/13/01 --- *sigh* I just got finished watching Outlaw Star and .... well .... I was left sorta dumbfounded. I mean, Cartoon Network edits out stuff in it (way more than it should), and today they FORGOT some things. I am very against the editing of perfectly good shows to the extent that they change whole sentences and scenes around, but at least Cartoon Network could be CONSISTENT! I mean, today there was nudity, I heard just about every swear word they had in the show. Tsk tsk tsk Cartoon Network. If you're gonna forget an episode, you might as well make a lot of people happy and NOT edit them at all. This leads me to another 'pondering'. Has anyone noticed that they edited out all the blood in Gundam WIng, but then in TENCHI MUYO they "forgot" to edit Ryoko flipping people off...and not in Japanese either. Talk about inconsistent. Not only this, but they cut out the most ridiculous things! In Outlaw Star they replace the words 'kill' and 'death' with destroy. I mean...come on people. Our kids aren't THAT stupid. And in the first episode, they cut out Jim and Gene playing poker, and replaced it with GO FISH. Um, what is so inappropriate about poker? Oh wait...that's right. It's GAMBLING. *mumbles* I think I'd rather get the videos.
