Welcome to Wales
This is looking down the valleys in South Wales. What use to be coal mining country. If you will notice the roads leading up to where we are, they are quite narrow compared to the US roads.
(right) this is a welsh coast guard boat yes that is a lighthouse on the top. It was docked when I was there.
This is a view of the town of Barry. The houses are mostly called attached as you see close up of, or unattached as we know housing here. There is so little land available for buildiing the attached housing saves space.
(above) actual sign looking over the valleys the signs are written in english and welsh. (below) housing at Ogmore beach. Sheep wander free all over this area. The land was quite beautiful.
This is how narrow most of the roads are in Wales unless you are on a main highway.
Wales was a beautiful place to visit. The thing I enjoyed the most was I was able to see and get a view of the true culture. The people were all friendly and very accommodating. It did not rain as often as believed though it did some. It was quite cold most days I was there but it got much colder after I left. I did not get a picture of the street markets that are there but I really enjoyed going there and browsing around.
