The warm, dark night air held hands with him. His dark eyes surveyed the wrold for happiness, a way to escape eternity, without death, and a satisfaction to get rid of the pain he felt. He didn't find any of these, so he continued on, being stoic of the life he knew. He wanted a lifetime companion to be his for the eternity that awaited him. He was a vampire, and he had to kill to survive on the blood of the living. He walked through the night, his friend, and waitied for that one person to be his. He killed once that night; a young, careless boy of 15 and decided to kill once more for a treat to himself. He saw a woman with surpassing beauty walking nonchalantly along the cobblestone sidewalk to his left. He followed her for sometime hearing bllood rush through her veins, feeling the satisfaction that he had longed to feel for a hundred years. He wanted her forever. Yet he followed and waited on her to turn around to look at him to see that they were, indeed, meant to live as one for an eternity. She wasn't as aware, as he thought, of her surroundings and the fact that he was following her. Finally, after awhile, she stopped dead in her tracks and turned around. Her breath caught in her throat and suddenly she saw what he was, a vampire, a creature of the night. She felt his soul reach deep within hers. She wanted him forever. He vanished for a moment in time finally appearing in front of her. He put his arms around her, without saying a word, and put his fangs deep within her neck. He drank her blood until she fell limp in his arms. He felt her heart weakening and said, "Spend the eternity which awaits with me." All she did was smile and he offered her his wrist. She drank back the blood which he took from her. Slowly her body began to die. All at once she felt pain and then a newness came to her. It was death. He was hers and she was his forever.
