"Be Not Enticed to Love"

These are my words, and heed them
Lest you be enticed to love.

Do not open your heart to a man.
  The veins that hold your life might be emptied of all Worth
  and the tiny pulse in you that is your soul
  will fall silent.

Do not succumb to your mistrust.
  Instead, bind your fears and hide them well. as those things
  that you do question will form the very dagger meant to
  strike you down.

Do not want for unity nor peace.
  These thoughts alone will heighten your expectations
  so that no man dare attempt to
  quell your thirst.

Lastly, and in summary of what I've learned
  Keep yourself alone, and hense, remain unafraid.
  Know that, should you taste of love,
  You shall not heal of its pain.
