When she is dumped by her beau, Court Reynolds, for the innocent Cecile, she challenges Sebastian to ruin Cecile by deflowering her and turning her into a tramp-thus humiliating Court by delivering Cecile to him as damaged goods. Sarah Michelle Gellar New York native SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR is perhaps best known for her lead role in the Warner Bros. hit television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and her feature film successes I Know What You Did Last Summer, starring Gellar along with Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze Jr., and Scream 2 with Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courtney Cox. In Buffy, Gellar plays a typical high-schooler by day and a martial arts expert by night who takes on a legion of evil foes. Gellar's acting career has spanned nearly 15 years. She won an Emmy in 1994 for her role as "Kendall Hart" on the ABC daytime drama All My Children, and completed classes at the High School for the Performing Arts in New York a year ahead of schedule. Her impressive list of starring roles in television includes An Invasion of Privacy (CBS telefilm), A Woman Named Jackie (CBS miniseries) and All My Children (ABC). Sebastian Valmont CRUEL RUTHLESS CUNNING Sebastian has pretty much 'had' all of the girls in New York City up to this point, and he's gotten a bit bored of it all. When challenged by his stepsister Kathryn to deflower the naive Cecile, he obliges, though this is too easy a conquest for him. He sets his sights on a greater challenge-the new headmaster's daughter, Annette. Sebastian bets Kathryn that he can seduce the chaste and pristine Annette before school begins in the fall. Kathryn thinks this feat impossible and quickly agrees to the wager. Ryan Phillipee RYAN PHILLIPPE is one of the brightest young talents working today. Phillippe has most recently starred in Playing by Heart, featuring an ensemble cast which included Sean Connery, Gena Rowlands and Angelina Jolie. Phillippe received critical praise for Disney's coming-of-age film White Squall, which was his first feature film role. He has since gone on to co-star in such films as Little Boy Blue, Gregg Araki's Nowhere, the boxoffice smash I Know What You Did Last Summer and 54. Phillippe was also seen in Homegrown, co-starring Billy Bob Thornton and Hank Azaria. Annette Hargrove CLEVER BEAUTIFUL SMART Annette unwittingly becomes a pawn in Sebastian and Kathryn's deliciously diabolical wager of sexual conquest when she writes an article in Seventeen Magazine about how she intends to stay pure until she marries her boyfriend. However, Sebastian gets more than he bargained for as he attempts to woo Annette into his bed. Reese Witherspoon REESE WITHERSPOON was most recently seen in Gary Ross's critically acclaimed Pleasantville, opposite Tobey Maguire, William H. Macy and Joan Allen. She also starred in Robert Benton's Twilight for Paramount. Witherspoon made her debut in Robert Mulligan's coming-of-age drama The Man in the Moon. She went on to star in Disney's dramatic adventure A Far off Place, in Diane Keaton's critically acclaimed Lifetime feature Wildflower, in Danny DeVito's family drama Jack the Bear and in the contemporary satire S.F.W. Witherspoon also starred opposite Mark Wahlberg and William Petersen in James Foley's romantic thriller Fear and in Freeway, in which she starred with Kiefer Sutherland. Witherspoon recently wrapped production on the MTV feature Election in which she co-stars with Matthew Broderick. Cecille Caldwell SHY IRRESISTABLE NAIVE Having snagged Kathryn's boyfriend Court Reynolds, Cecile becomes a pawn in a wicked game of seduction and betrayal. She is seduced by Sebastian and then becomes an annoyance to them as her sexual appetite grows and grows. Selma Blair Southfied, Michigan native SELMA BLAIR is rapidly becoming one of Hollywood's most sought after young actresses. Currently she can be seen in the starring role in the WB series Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane, which follows the lives of a group of teens in New York City as they begin to find their place in the world. After graduating from high school, Blair dreamed of becoming a photographer. She moved to New York City to pursue her goal but found her way to acting classes at the Stella Adler Conservatory and The Column Theater. She was then discovered by an agent in her acting class and one week later got her SAG card doing a television commercial for Theater of Virginia. Her feature film roles include lead roles in the upcoming independent films Girl, directed by Jonathan Kahn, and Brown's Requiem, directed by Jason Freeland.
