Careless Reckless Untrue By: Michael Dykhoff 5/7/99 Your humanistic tone makes me quiver Your eyes draw to me and I start to shiver But I know all about you and your kind Just because your caring doesn�t mean I�m blind Your sophistic grin and lulling charm Won�t make me cling to your arm Smiles and winks wont get me there You thought they would, but I don�t care Your narcissistic advances aren�t cutting it with me Your candy for the eyes and that�s about all you can be You make me nauseas with your self-centered ways And I hope you look in the mirror one of these days Your mechanistic movements towards me Is something I regret to see You can�t walk the walk or talk the talk If you had my key I�d change the lock Your animalistic urges are bleeding through And I know exactly what you want to do It�s not going to happen tonight though Because even I don�t sink that low Your socialistic handshakes and toasts Are fake and dull I hate them the most You give a little and take a lot And then you act like someone your not Your pessimistic outlook of what the future will hold Is the most interesting story I�ve heard told But that�s just one intriguing attraction I find towards you And from the look of things, there won�t be two. Your ekistic settings of far off places Keep you locked up in confined spaces What is a home if you can�t call it yours? Just a big square with windows and doors Your surrealistic hard to get attitude Won�t get me in the mood I�m loosing patience with your pathetic tries If you were to speak, all the words would be lies Your heuristic adventurous side Makes me want to run and hide And you�ve got a lot of lessons to learn But your to impatient to wait your turn Your naturalistic first impression is really just a cover And if you keep lying, you�ll never find that lover Don�t dim those lights of disguise your face Be you no matter what time or place Your characteristic profile reads: Careless, reckless, and untrue For once in your life you can�t hide from you Break the mirrors and blur the reflections While you try and hide those imperfections
