Some things to work on at home are:
- writing first and last name
- counting 1 -40 without any mistakes: writing numbers 0 -20 with all numbers facing the correct direction
- letter and sound recognition
- shapes - circle, square, rectangle,triangle,oval<
- writing : Practice letter and number formation properly on the lines.
- sounding out and spelling simple words that follow a consonant-vowel- consonant pattern
- ordinal numbers 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.
- rhyming words
- dropping first sounds...say bike, say bike without the "b" (ike)
- dropping last sounds...say bike, say bike without the "k" (bi)
This will help our class run more efficiently and make things nicer for everyone.
- using a soft voice inside
- walking quietly in line and keeping your hands to yourself
- not playing in the restroom
- going to the restroom every time we go as a class to avoid accidents later
- using soft voices, staying seated and raising hands when help is needed at lunch
- listening to instruction and participating during floortime
- remember to raise your hand to answer questions and not just call out the answers
- Please wear or bring tennis shoes every day for Motor lab.
