| The Creature character is the only character I have ever used in e-fedding. I have been in the "business" for several years, and in that time Creature has matured and evolved from a rookie who lived in a cave to a bitter, jaded, arrogant superstar and superior world champion. In this section, you will read about some of the highlights from Creature's career. Before we begin, you have to know about Creature's past. Creature became an orphan at an early age. He was sent to a foster home, where his new father trained him in the martial arts and tought him how to defend himself. Creature soon grew tired of his new family, and ran away at the age of 15. He was taken in off the streets by a cult known as the Manji. The Manji schooled him in stealth tactics, and tought him about the darker side of the world. It was under their tutilage that Creature dropped his real name, took the moniker of Creature, and began wearing a mask almost all of the time. It was also due to the Manji that Creature got his start in the wrestling business. The Manji periodically held small fighting tournaments. In these tournaments, Creature was the undefeated, undisputed Manji Champion. His vicious, relentless, death-defying style caught the eye of many, and soon the Manji used their underworld connections to get Creature a tryout match-up in the UFC, the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Creature won his preliminary match and was set to enter full-time competition, but his heart wasn't into it. Fortunately, he wound up speaking with Frank Shamrock, a closet-member of the Manji and brother of Ken Shamrock. Shamrock realized Creature was more interested in wrestling than shoot fighting, and pulled some strings with his brother's help. Creature received another tryout, this time for the World Wrestling Federation. There are even some tapes of him competing in dark matches, circa 1996, still in circulation. Creature was not picked up by the WWF, but was sent to a small promotion run out of Chicago, which would soon reach a national level- the WHW, World Hardcore Wrestling. That is how Creature became involved in the wrestling business. As you read through the following six chapters, you will see how his personality, attitude, and career developed. But first, there are some more details we need to touch up on. First and foremost, is his mask. You already learned how he acquired the habit (living and studying with the Manji). So why hasn't he cast it off yet? Intimidation. The Manji tought Creature the secrets of intimidation, and he still uses them today. The mask is part of that. So who trained Creature? Aside from his father, he also spent a great deal of time studying under Ken Shamrock in the Lion's Den, though he eventually broke free and developed his own style. In the ring, Creature is comparable to Shawn Michaels, Edge, and Chris Jericho. His finishing maneuver, the inverted DDT known as the Abyss, is his all- time favorite move, and it usually follows a super kick. Another one of Creature's most feared techniques is the Flames of the Abyss. After placing a hidden capsule in his mouth, he spits a combustable liquid in the face of his opponent, burning him. Much like Great Muta's mist, this attack can come anytime, any place, and from anywhere. |
