Creach's Thoughts

She may be the only sane thing left in the Universe.

Thanks Mark Cuban!  You're man-love of Dirk has cost Dallas Shaq!

And just wait until the headline that'll trump it all:

Kobe Bryant signs with the Clippers!

Then the insanity of the world will be final.  Kobe...buddy...rapist...you're good.  You're great, hell.  But...even you cannot save the Clippers.  So if you go...be prepared for a long, hard slog, Don Rummy style.  Be prepared to rejoice when you win 30 games a year.  Every time the Clippers get someone good, and it looks like they'll be building something...they'll lose it.  That's what they do.  That's what a lot of teams do.  Ask T-Mac.  Ask LeBron in a few years...or next year, when the pain of losing Boozer sets in.

Lakers Kobe...think about it.  Lamar Odom.  Bryan Grant.  Caron Butler.  They're not bad Kobe.  They've got heart.  They fight with a ferocity the likes of which only you, Tony Parker, and the Pistons presently do.  Lakers.

If you're not in an orange jump suit next year...be in purple and gold.

Meanwhile...Brent Barry and Derek Fisher to the Spurs?  If this means Parker coming off the bench with appropriate fear...count me in.  If this means ANOTHER perimter threat to accompany Hedo and Manu...count me in.  Too bad they didn't do more to get Kobe.  Guess Pop thinks he's guilty.

But that's just the tip of the ice berg.

The more pressing matter here is this...

Peak Oil

It may...never...happen.

This is tremendous news!

But...what...don't tell me you're buying the idea that "economics" will save us?  And there is serious credibility issues with the Saudi's estimates...what gives?  Was there a bunch of massive discoveries?  Or did...by God...the world's population stop growing?

The answer is simple.

Petroleum...and natural gas...are not...fossil fuels.

Huh?

There is a new, credible theory that says oil and natural gas aren't fossil fuels...that they aren't the accumulated, compressed, and heated remains of ancient...remains.  That instead, these things originate deep below the surface of the Earth, well below the final layer of fossils.  We're talking the mantle here.  The stuff may very well be generated with magma.  Its creation began when the Earth formed.

And the evidence for this is plentiful and logical.  Only now is the light starting to break through.  Apparently...recent discoveries have been FAR too deep to be related to anything organic on the Earth.  Not just that, but in areas where there isn't even a rich fossil record at all.

But there's more.  Oil wells that have been capped and considered "empty" for  years have suddenly re-filled.

Plus...the composition of oil and the abundance of helium with it all indicate that it was born WAY deeper inside Earth than thought...and thus had nothing to do with life.

The theory goes on to explain that the oil is gradually forced up towards the surface...during which it comes into contact with bacteria and even fossil materials...which explains why it is mistakenly thought to have organic origins.

So what does it all mean?

1.  Peak Oil can't conceivably occur for...I'd say at least a thousand years, and that's highly ignorant and conservative.
2.  If this creation process is part of planetary formation...then clearly other planets would be just as rich.  Next stop, Mars.
3.  Once this idea gains momentum...geopolitics as we know it will alter.

Just what are the geopolitical implications?

The Middle East will CEASE to be the most significant region on the face of the Earth.  It will be replaced by the U.S., and perhaps, eventually...China.

And what does this do for the post-9/11 world?

It means the importance of U.S. success in the Middle East shifts from survival to imperialism.  Obviously the Middle East will still be the biggest stumbling block to Pax Americana at the moment...but at least if America fails in its imperial quest it won't spell future disaster.

I'm gonna end this Thought here.  I have the Oregon Trail to play around with, and I've said all I presently can.

I'll leave you all with the only reason Ja Rule has ever had a good song...

Love and Peace
