Creach's Thoughts

    Whoooooo!

It's been a busy month for me, and twenty-one days since my last Thought.  A lot has changed since my last musing, so let us begin, shall we?

First up, I've begun working out a small bit.  Nothing too much, but I would like to be in good shape someday, and plus, I've made the decision to return to the study of martial arts within the next two-three years.  While that will place me in the best shape of my life no doubt, before I resume I think it'd be a good idea to prepare my body.  Endurance, flexibility, things like that.

I also have a new cat, an enormous black cat named Spooky at that.  He was the feline of my uncle Pablo, but he's gone to Chi-Town for a while so he is now mine.  He's pretty cool.

School will be over within a week.  This has been my best year since the sixth grade, BAR NONE.  Next year will be even better.

The BWA has stepped it up to notches unknown to man, with the elevation of Justin Credible, Hardcore Holly, Rhino, Al Snow, Jeff Hardy, Christian, Edge, Val Venis, Ric Flair, William Regal, Vampiro, Hayabusa, and the solidification of Kurt Angle and Sid Vicious as true BWA Mega Stars and World Champions.  Nick's Boyz is back and better than ever, the Six Man Tag Team Division has been a resounding success, the Tag Team division is rejuvenated, the Welterweight scene is starting to return to its former levels of awesomeness, and the titles mean more than ever right now, espcially the BWA World Hardcore Championship, presently 'round the waist of Hardcore Bob Holly.  I'm extremely proud of it, and this year, which is BWA Year Six, looks to be one of its best, if not THE best.

Speaking of my booking skills and such, I recently, thanks to Jack Duncan, downloaded another wrestling simulation of sorts.  This one is called Extreme Warfare or something like that, and it is AMAZING.  Everything TNM7 lacks, it has.  While the sheer match quality isn't as good, the matches contain the little extras TNM has but sucks at- ref bumps, interference, things like that.  Unforutnately, you cannot book the outcomes, run-ins, or anything like that.  You have to just set the push and let life take its course.  That's okay for me I suppose with my BWA experience, but in a moment I will tell you why it is a MAJOR disadvantage.

The game isn't simply about running a federation like TNM7.  It is about competing with rival companies to be the best promotion in North America, if not the world.  It starts with the WWF as it was in April 2001, and with WCW owned by Shane and ECW dead and buried.  I immediately deleted ECW and replaced it with my own promotion, because it is a lot funner that way then trying to ressurect ECW or defeat the WWF with a revived WCW.

You have to hire staff members and wrestlers, view reports, advertise, sell merchandise, book arenas, schedule Pay-Per-Views, choose sponsors, and impress people enough that you receive a TV deal.  And even then, it isn't over yet- you won't be the top company until you win the ratings war, and if you are like me, you are up against RAW and Nitro, and so it is not an easy task.  That's why it is so frustrating not being able to book the shows- sometimes shows come off really bad and it isn't your fault, but it still brings your rating down.  Of course for now I don't have to worry about that- I don't have a TV deal yet, so I just run monthly PPVs like WWA.  My last buyrate was .86 which is superb for me as I'm rising fast, but considering SummerSlam drew a 1.29, it was all the great on the large scale.

I'm not done yet- there are politics.  Wrestlers retire, wrestlers work the indy scene, wrestlers leave for Japan, wrestlers quit, wrestlers sign to other promotions, you can hire wrestlers for one month try-outs or if you are big enough development contracts, and once again- they politic.  I've had backstage fights, wrestlers starting rumors, wrestlers demanding more push, so and so on.  Example: the first time I played, I went with WCW.  I signed Bill Goldberg, and made him the HIGHEST paid man in the business at the time (it even gives you those stats!).  But because he was not the champion, he went around bitching and starting rumors about mass releases and wage cuts!

One last thing on this great game- you can play dirty as well!  You can pay people to disrupt shows, hack other promotions websites, attack them with rumors in the press, shoot all over them in interviews, and all the other great stuff.  This simulation, like TNM7, gets ***** on the Creach Star Rating.

Up next.  E-wrestling.  Tomorrow night, I am receiving a shot at the UWF HardKore Title and I promise you all a victory, which makes Creature vs. Jack eight days later at the PPV for the belt.  I'll tell you all this right now- Jack and I have worked very hard on this angle, and the PPV will not be the blowoff.  Here's one more piece of info- I'm putting Jack over!!

But that's not all.  I'm actually working twice at the PPV.  After dropping the HardKore belt to Duncan, I'll be competing in the main event for the UWF World Championship.  All I know is that Diaz, Raziel Lucifer, and Sykotic will be in the match as well, but I'm not sure if Complicated or anyone else will be added to the mix.  It should be an excellent match, and now that I'm getting back into the swing of roleplaying, all of my fans out there can look forward to some awe-inspiring work as I shoot for my ninth World Championship.

I guess that's all for today.  I've really been wanting to do a Thought simply because it's been so long, so there you have it.  And I realize I didn't cover the WWE, but I'll make up for it next time.

I'm Out
