Heart Transplant

I watched the plane as it disappeared
And it was just as I had feared
You'd forgotten to return to me
My heart, and I watched helplessly
As the plane got smaller to my eye
I stood, and waved my heart goodbye
I know you'll keep it safe and treasured
And that soon we'll be together
But just what am I supposed to do
Without a heart til I see you
But wait, what's this beating in my chest
Oh silly me, I should have guessed
You left me your heart to hold and keep
I should have know with love this deep
Well this is great, and if you don't mind
I'll just keep yours, and you keep mine

Hot Stuff

Is it just me, or is it hot in here
Cause when you walked in, this place caught fire
My temperature's in the danger zone
And my nerves are as taut as a wire
The room is smoking, the heat is intense
And some things are beginning to cook
I saw that girl at the table in back
Melt to a puddle with just a look
Oh yeah, you're a blazing inferno
But I am molten lava myself
So come to me, my fiery lover
And together we will blaze a trail
To the heights of passion, and then beyond
To the point where we incinerate
Til we coalesce into one being
Brought together by the hands of fate

Rainbow Turned To Gray

In the time it took you to say the words
My whole world fell apart
I had no idea you felt this way
And that, I suppose, speaks for itself
Have I been so wrapped up in myself
That I stopped seeing you
Really seeing you
I never noticed you were unhappy
I guess I never noticed you at all
But someone else did
And while I've been busy chasing my rainbows
You have found a new love
And too late, I realize the truth
I held the pot of gold in my hands all the time
Now I've lost it....lost you
And the colors of my rainbow have turned to gray
