At the right is the Wyandotte Depot, which is now an American Legion "Hall" (really only a bar) Access to wyandotte is easy, if you follow the maps and such at the bottom of the page

  CONRAIL
Wyandotte MI. Wyandotte, is located 6 miles south of the Detroit border. It is a VERY safe community, unlike Detroit! Within the Town, a hotspot be found! At the crossing of Oak Street and the railroad tracks, there is a wealth of railroading going on! There are 2 railroads at this location, occupying 4 tracks, all spaced out as if they are owned by 4 different railroads, and 4 single track lines, as they were at one time. The station, was built in 1890, and is privately owned by the American Legion, as it has been since the sixties. The parking area for the station, is plentiful, and it is a Prime location for train watching. The tracks from East to West are as follows:
GTW River Spur:  Used at least 4 times a day, this branch has a great railfanning spot at the Wyandotte Depot. Just east of the Depot, is an old D.T.&I. freight house, now owned by Krutsch heating and cooling. On the track side, a picture of a train rounding the curve located there, is a must! (line operated by TD-2 troy on 161.220Mhz)

Next, travelling a little further West, is Conrail Detroit line Northbound and southbound, which see about 5-10 trians per day A severe drop in traffic. Conrail ran at elast 15-20!...
NS SUCKS, AND DOESN'T RUN JACK. You can achieve a nice shot of a train and the Depot on Either the North or Southbound Mainlines.  Both main tracks are located on either side of the building. There are also 2 signals at this location: D11.3 and the D11.4 on no1 and no2 tracks respectively. This main line is controlled (temporarily, I hope) By the NS Dearborn Dispatcher on CR channel 1; 160.800Mhz.

Finally furthest West, is the Grand Trunk Western's Shoreline Subdivision, that sees about 20-25 trains a day as it serves as the only route between Chicago and Toledo! On GT channel 2: 160.530Mhz.
