HOTSPOTS DOWNRIVER: CARLETON, MI.
Carleton is a "quaint" little town, about 105 miles south of Saginaw, about 2 miles Southwest of FlatRock, and inbetween Monroe, and Detroit. On a radio scanner, you  can hear all the way into toledo, and what's happening in Deroit! The town is served by 3 railroads, Conrail, CSX, and Grand Trunk Western. Conrail's Lincoln Secondary connects into CSX's Toledo Terminal Sub there at CP-CARLETON. North of Carleton, begins CSX's Saginaw Subdivision, and change of Dispatchers. GTW has their Flat-Rock sub single track main line coming in Northeast, to Southwestern Direction. The Indiana and Ohio railroad also uses the GTW line to get to Flat Rock yardCarleton Sees about 50 trains a day or more! So bring a lot of film, and a scanner (or VHF two-way radio)
