Introduction : Our Classroom bunny Siochanta has run out of yummy

plants to nibble on! We must burst into action and learn all we can about

the edible parts of a plant and how to grow some of our own to share with

Si-Si.

Task: Let's brush up on all there is to know about plants.

Process :

Step 1 : Get a clear plastic cup.
Place five cotton balls in the cup.
Get the cotton wet.
Place a dry kidney bean on the wet cotton.
Place the cup in the sun and keep the cotton wet each day.

Step 2 : Construct a book to catalog the growth of your bean plant..

Step 3 : Each day, after you water your plant, draw a picture of what
you see.

Step 4 : When the plant has grown taller than the rim of the cup, fill
the cup with potting soil. Fill the cup to 1/4 of an inch from the rim of
the cup.
