This BRAU crown added to my factory collection May 2006
This exhibit features a variety of Factory crowns, meaning they were used for such reasons as to test production lines or to promote the factory. The Crown Cap Museum is always seeking Factory promotional and Factory test crowns to put on display. The Museam would also like to exhibit mispunch/misprint crowns. These are crowns that came off the assembly line with some type of defect. The Crown Cap Museum would like to thank Dennis Smith and Joe Roberts of the United States, Sergey Tenenbaum and Alex Machinistov of Russia, Jiri Mejzr of the Czech Republic, Ed Veld and Kees Booij of the Netherlands, Alina Koziol of Germany, and Franco Palmirani of Italy for providing many of these Factory crowns.  If you have duplicates of Factory crowns not shown in this exhibit, please E-mail the Crown Cap Museum about a trade.

ZapatA Crown Factory, United States
This is a selection of truely one-of-a-kind ZapatA Experimental Crowns. These were never intended for products or promotions, but simply to test some basic, hidden principles involved in the creation of a new crown cap.
ZapatA created these crowns to test the idea of using 28 and 32 flutes around the edge instead of the traditional 21 flutes. ZapatA aborted the project.
These Zima Test crowns were produced around 1997 by ZapatA. You will see the word BEER written on two of them, as well as the testing dates. Zima is NOT a beer which makes these Test crowns even more unique. You can see more of these odd crowns in the Factory Flaws Gallery.
