This web site has no connection, official or unofficial, with the Society for the Preservation and Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus in America (SPAAMFAA), any of its chapters, any of its officers, nor the officers of any of its chapters. It is not intended nor portrayed in any way to have any connection, real or imagined or even in the fevered imaginings of overly-litigious lawyers, with SPAAMFAA.
This web site is also not intended nor portrayed as having any affiliation or representation, officially or unofficially, with any persons or fire departments whose fire engines are depicted or described on this web site. It does not represent, and is neither intended nor claimed to represent, the now-defunct Crown Corporation, any of its former officers or employees, nor any of its corporate successors. This web site also has no connection, official or unofficial, with any other fire engine manufacturer, past or present, whose past or present products are depicted or described on this web site, nor with any corporate affiliates, officers, employees, former officers, or former employees, of any of those fire engine manufacturers.
The webmaster also assumes no resposibility for any coincidence that one of the hundreds of fire engine enthusiasts who attended any of the same fire engine events that I did, might have taken very similar photos to those that I took, and might have copyrighted their own highly-similar photos of the same subject matter taken from the same or similar angle at the same location during the same event on the same day.
Further, this web site is not intended to provide wealthy lawyers with even more income from suing anyone over any imagined grievances about false or misleading claims or representations, or any possible deliberate or unintentional misinterpretation of who represents what individual, corporation, or organization.
Believe it or not, the sole purpose of this web site is to present photographs and historical details of a whole helluva lot of antique fire engines. I truly enjoy photos and history of old fire engines, and I thought I would share these photos with others who also enjoy old fire engines. Sharing our enjoyment of old fire engines used to be what our hobby was all about, before everyone went all lawsuit-happy, and I hope that for some at least, our hobby is still about preservation and appreciation of antique fire apparatus.
