Introduction
"In Selangor, Malaya, it was said that the crow was the tiger's soul (semangat).
A crow usually perches on the tiger, picking out it's ticks."

I found this crow on Thursday 14th June 01 in a public garden near the River Thames, London. When I first saw it I caught it and then decided to leave it and let nature take it's course. On Saturday the 16th June 01, I awoke in the morning and recalled having a dream about the crow. I felt that I should go back and see if it was still there. So I had something to eat and then walked back the 45 min walk to the spot, all the time thinking ' this is a waste of time, the bird will either be dead, eaten by a fox or dog, have been claimed by another person interested in birds, or have some how managed to scramble to safety'. Therefore when I returned to see the crow in almost the same place, I was very suprised. I watched it walking along and every so often take a hop and a flap, a rather sad attempt to launch itself into the air. So I caught it put it in a rucksack and the rest is history.
I named the bird Pecker and over the months the bird has been a very interesting creature to have around, and this week I managed to get some photos taken and here is a Gallery of the results.
Also here at this link are some abstract artistic versions of some of the photos...
Finally the time has come to let Pecker move on and I have found a new home for the crow to go to, so that it can grow new flight feathers and hopfully eventually return to the wild. Hopfully photos will be available from this period of the birds life which will be added to this site in the future.
Hope that you enjoy the photographs!!!
Yours cawingly,
Crowman 101.
