Husband to Galadriel, Celeborn is the Elf king of Lothlorien, a magical city in the trees. He welcomes the fellowship and confers with Lady Galadriel as he thoughtfully weighs decisions that hold the future of Middle-earth in the balance. Celeborn?s people, the Elves of Lothlorien, are immortal race-beautiful beings who can never age or take sick. They also are endowed with clearer perceptions and more hightened awareness then humans. |

Celeborn wed Galadriel in Doriath, and fled with her to Arvernien after Doriath's fall. Near the beginning of the Second age, Celeborn and Galadriel settled in Lorien, where for many years, Celeborn ruled as Lord of the Galadrim. During the War of the Ring, Celeborn led the army of Lorien that took Dol Guldur. After the War of the Ring, Celeborn tarried in Middle Earth for a while, but without Galadriel he grew bored, and eventually sailed to be with her. |
