Crosstown games is the label under which I promote the line of original games that I have created. I am located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. My interest in creating games began in 1985 when my grandfather pulled out a Quaker Oats container and proceeded to dump little cubes onto the floor. He showed us how to play a game that he had made and from that point forward I have been intrigued by game design.
My occupational background is computer application development and the skills used for developing applications can be paralleled in game design. Logic and creativity both play an important role as well as the ability to incorporate easy to use and explain components. The games I have created stem mostly from one single thought and expand rapidly as though having a life of their own. It is great to see the growth of games from initial idea conception to the final product release.
My goal in designing games is to bring others together to enjoy life and each other's company. Games should provoke thought and action and bring satisfaction that the time spent was not time wasted. These days entertainment is served to us and we get lazy and unsociable, but by playing games the mind is active and strong friendships can be made.
